Product

XW-701 Multifunctional Water-Based Damping Coating

Composition and performance:

A single-component damping coating composed of core-shell acrylic IPN emulsion, damping pigments and fillers, flame retardants, imported additives, etc. Different from sound-absorbing materials, it is an active noise reduction material. Its principle is to convert vibration mechanical energy into heat energy and dissipate it, that is, to effectively control vibration and noise from the sound (vibration) source.

It has the properties of non-toxic, odorless, and environmentally friendly

It has excellent adhesion and toughness

It has excellent vibration and noise reduction effects

It has high solid content and low shrinkage during drying

Application:

Applicable to vibration and noise reduction in rail transportation, automobile industry, ships and vessels, engineering machinery, machinery manufacturing, construction venues and other fields

Surface treatment:

Steel surface treatment is carried out in accordance with the national standard "Surface rust level and rust removal level of steel before painting" GB8923-88. Sandblasting rust removal reaches the national standard Sa2.5 level, and manual rust removal reaches St3 level.

Construction process:

1. To ensure product performance, any debris, oil stains, dust, etc. that are attached to the base surface and hinder the adhesion of the coating to the base surface must be thoroughly removed before construction.

2. If there is condensed water on the base surface, it should be wiped clean. During the construction process, avoid water on the base surface due to condensation, seepage, leakage, etc., and waterproof treatment must be done for the leaking parts of the base surface.

3. Before construction, stir the damping paint evenly. If spraying is used, tap water can be used to adjust the spray viscosity; if scraping is used, scrape it flat and do not apply it repeatedly. Generally, 2-3 times of construction is sufficient.

4. Use a layer-by-layer thickening construction method to reach the designed thickness. After the first coat is completely dry, the second coat is applied. The interval between the two coats varies depending on the coating thickness, season and other factors, but should be kept at more than 12 hours.

5. Multiple thin coating processes can be used for facade construction. Appropriately increase the number of construction coats and reduce the amount of each coat to prevent sagging.

6. In order to ensure the performance of the damping coating, 24 hours after the last coat is completed, use a stainless steel or plastic flat roller to press the coating surface 1-2 times.

7. If there is a decorative requirement, brush, spray or roll 2 coats of topcoat.
