The 9th International Marine Anticorrosion and Antifouling Forum (IFMCF2024), co-organized by the Key Laboratory of Marine New Materials and Application Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and DT New Materials, was held at the Ningbo Donggang Sheraton Hotel from April 17 to 19, 2024.
This forum is guided by industry needs and focuses on key application directions such as marine clean energy development equipment, marine transportation equipment and marine aquaculture equipment. Experts from enterprises, universities and research institutes are invited to work together to form a high-level industry-university-research-application exchange platform, which has begun to have an important influence in the field of marine new materials and equipment. The participating representatives conducted extensive exchanges and cooperation on the current status of industrial development, corrosion protection technology, and end-user needs.
With the theme of "Discovering New Growth", this forum will discuss the following core issues with industry colleagues:
(1) How should international regulations and standards for marine antifouling coatings be implemented?
(2) How will the future development trend of the marine corrosion and protection industry evolve?
(3) The trend of comprehensive development of marine resources has arrived. Which new materials and new technologies have greater growth potential?
(4) How can these new materials and technologies be adapted to different marine industries?
(5) How can the overall innovation of the marine new materials industry chain break through?
In response to the above issues, Li Guangjun, general manager of Shandong Furi Xuanwei New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a special speech on "Application of Wet, Rusty and Underwater Cured Heavy Anti-corrosion Coating Materials in Coastal Port Engineering" in the "Offshore Energy Development Equipment" session of this forum on April 19.
The speech pointed out that large-scale port projects have entered the anti-corrosion maintenance cycle of underwater structures in batches, and the market prospects are broad.
